Details and specifics of the print run: The overall volume was printed in 3,028 copies in total (including 2,900 copies of the standard edition numbered from 101 to 3,000). However, this copy is part of the extremely rare head editions: • Prestige number: This copy bears the number 2 / 100. It is among the only 100 luxury copies existing (numbered 1 to 100), specially bound and inserted under a full-color slipcase with a signed lithograph. • Binding & Slipcase: Luxury edition in a rigid cloth-covered hardcover format, protected by its fully cloth-covered terracotta/orange slipcase. The back of the slipcase bears the artist’s signature and the publisher’s name printed in white letters. • The Original Print (Tiré à part): The lot includes its superb original unbound lithograph, also numbered 2/100, printed on superb art paper with handsome deckle edges (deckle-tooled). It features a stunning watercolor by Hugo Pratt depicting an Indian woman framed by two colonial soldiers of the Indian Army. Condition: Superb / Close to mint (VF/NM) • Interior: Absolutely perfect, with radiant freshness. The art paper is very white, with no foxing, spots, or tears. • Case / Slipcase: In superb overall condition. Very, very light superficial wear on some corners, but no dents or tears of the fabric.
