Holy water font - 1800-1850

Carved Italian marble holy water font, dated between 1800 and 1850. Made from a single block of stone with a lobed shape and a petal-like profile, it shows a splendid warm patina from time and liturgical use. The inner basin, smoothed by holy water, contrasts with the outer surface, rougher and more natural. An object of sober elegance, an authentic expression of nineteenth-century popular devotion. Perfect as a collector's item, decorative element, or centerpiece with sacred and sculptural charm. Provenance: Italy. Overall good condition with minor signs consistent with age.
