HÖK (1984) - Yayoi Kusama The Pumpkin Of Happiness - Vertical Extra Large XXXL

WORK CONCEPT - Yayoi Kusama The Pumpkin Of Happiness (Unique work) This HÖK piece functions as a vibrant and very current homage to the unmistakable universe of Yayoi Kusama, one of the most recognizable and influential artists in contemporary art. Through this energetic, colorful composition with visual references, the artist retrieves one of Kusama’s great symbols: the pumpkin, already an essential image within her artistic imagination. The protagonist holds a large pumpkin decorated with polka dots, immediately evoking Kusama’s visual language and that unique ability she had to transform a seemingly simple motif into a universal art icon. At the same time, the work includes a timely wink to the Halloween spirit, making the piece also connect with these dates and the symbolic force of the pumpkin within popular culture. Beyond its visual impact, the piece has a special emotional component, as it can also be read as a tribute to Yayoi Kusama’s artistic memory and the enormous impact she left on art history. HÖK not only cites her aesthetics but reinterprets her legacy in his own pop, urban, and contemporary language, mixing color, graphic design, spontaneity, and a strong visual charge. The result is a cheerful, powerful, and highly striking piece, where artistic homage, pop culture, and that distinctive visual irony typical of HÖK coexist. A work that celebrates the strength of an irreproducible creator and that, at the same time, transforms her universe into a fresh, current image full of personality. ──────────────────────── HÖK ARTIST HÖK Artist works are part of private collections in more than 20 countries and have been exhibited in art galleries in Spain and Europe.
