High End Tube Amplifier Hi-Tone H220i 2x20W [1964] Completely recapped in March 2022. Legendary amplifier from the prestigious French brand Hi-Tone, a competitor to the high-end tube amplifier brands McIntosh, Fisher, Pioneer and Marantz from the same era. Sold 1,400 French francs in 1964, the equivalent of more than €2,200 today. Exceptional unit, a testament to rare French excellence, offered in this remarkable condition. Faceplate and chassis impeccable. Technical condition faultless. An astonishing sound, a sonic journey, a true musical experience! My speakers (JBL 4345 and Bowers & Wilkins CM1-CM2 Concept) usually driven by an Audio-Research SP9 preamp and a Mark Levinson 23.5 amplifier have been transformed... Polarizing capacitors, power tubes, resistors, diode bridges, connectors, power transformer, power cord... EVERYTHING that needed replacing has been updated with high-end components. TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS, INTERNAL SCHEMATICS, DETAILED INVOICE, EXHAUSTIVE LIST OF WORK CARRIED OUT AND THE COMPLETE SET OF AVAILABLE PHOTOS. Ultra-protected shipment available with foam, double packaging and insurance up to the bid amount.
