Herma - Calypso Automatic – 17 Rubini – Made in France...

Fascinating 1975-era Herma Calypso Automatic, an original French mechanical timepiece that encapsulates all the style and personality of 1970s watchmaking. Particularly distinctive for its generous gold-plated 20 micron cushion-shaped case, it features an elegant gold-toned dial with three-dimensional applied indices and an unusual multicolor minute track, characterized by red and blue details. The hands with red inserts and the slender blue seconds hand complete a strong retro-styled design, enhanced by the date window framed at 3 o'clock. Inside works the French automatic movement France Ébauches FE 3611 with 17 jewels, equipped with shock protection, testimony to the French mechanical tradition of the period. An interesting collectible specimen, especially appreciated for the originality of the dial, the large size for the era, and the unmistakable 70s aesthetic. The watch is in perfect working order and is presented with a black genuine leather strap.
