Hanoos Hanoos (born in Kufa, Iraq, in 1958) is a distinguished Hispano-Iraqi painter, printmaker, and professor based in Madrid since 1981. His artistic proposal is an exquisite fusion between the majesty of Islamic art and the vanguards of Western contemporary culture. [1, 2] Trajectory and Training * Early studies: He originally trained at the Baghdad Institute of Fine Arts between 1974 and 1979. [1] * Doctorate in Spain: After traveling through Europe, he earned a degree and subsequently obtained a Cum Laude Doctorate in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid, defending a thesis on the work of the medieval master Al-Wasiti.
