Antique 19th Century Fan – Pierced Bone Ribs and Hand-Painted Floral Motifs on a Painted Background Lovely antique collectible fan, dated to the second half of the 19th century (circa 1870–1890). A piece of great elegance and delicacy, ideal for collectors as well as period decoration or display cases. • Frame: Made of finely carved and pierced bone, with meticulous geometric filigree work on the guards. Preserves an aged ivory tone that is highly aesthetic and natural. • Made on high-quality textured paper or fine vellum, decorated with a beautiful hand-painted floral scene in romantic tones (roses, blues and green foliage). The side panels show delicate bouquets framed with fine decorative borders. • Axle: Retains its original pin with a metal ring.
