Gyula Karpati (1950) - Gedetailleerd hyperrealistisch...

Gyula Kárpáti (1950-). A meticulously hyperrealistically painted still life with roulette, playing cards and a classical sculpture. Oil on panel. Realistic still life, inspired by the Dutch old masters. A particularly atmospheric and richly detailed still life by the Hungarian painter Gyula Kárpáti. Kárpáti is known for his refined painting technique and his great admiration for the Dutch masters of the 17th century. In this impressive composition, Kárpáti brings together a fascinating collection of objects. A classical female figure, a nostalgic oil lamp with a green shade, a roulette wheel, playing cards and dominoes form a harmonious and intriguing whole. The warm reds of the richly draped fabric contrast beautifully with the deep green of the gaming table and the soft blue of the expansive coastline landscape in the background. Particularly beautiful is the way in which the artist has rendered different materials: the gleaming glass of the oil lamp, the folds of the textile, the wooden objects and the refined surface of the classical sculpture. The scene invites a symbolic interpretation. The roulette wheel, the playing cards and dice refer to luck, chance and the game of life, while the classical sculpture represents beauty and timeless elegance. Gyula Kárpáti is a Hungarian painter who has specialized in realistic and carefully constructed compositions. His work is characterized by a refined treatment of texture, a rich color palette and a special attention to light and detail. His paintings are also represented on the international art market.
