Group of 4 Luristan Dress Pins, Varied Finials

Near East, Turkey / Iran, Luristan. Four bronze and copper dress pins with long tapering shafts, that carry varied decorative heads: one has a bulbous poppy-pod finial, one a flattened disc, and two have knopped baluster heads of stacked collars and beaded swellings. All four show mottled green malachite patina. Pins of this type fastened garments or hair, and the variety of finial forms within a single group reflects their everyday abundance.
