Österreich/Wien, um 1820, Öl/Metall, nicht sign. 4/4-Schlagwerk auf Tonspirale, 1-Tage-Gehwerk, m. Spindelhemmung, Spielwerk spielt zwei Melodien, orig. Holzkasten, breiter gekehlter Rahmen m. Eierstabfries, Gold gefasst. HxBxT: 68/95/14 cm. Restaurierter Zustand mit Alters- und Gebrauchsspuren. Das Uhrwerk wurde im Kurztest als funktionstüchtig geprüft. Schlagwerk und Spielwerk sind überholungsbedürftig und derzeit ohne Funktion. Ein Fotoalbum mit der Dokumentation der Restaurierungsarbeiten am Uhrwerk liegt bei. | LARGE PICTURE CLOCK, “The Maid of Orléans, the Coronation Procession of Charles VII in Reims”, Austria/Vienna, c. 1820, oil on metal, unsigned. 4/4 striking mechanism on a clay spiral, 1-day movement with spindle escapement; musical mechanism plays two melodies; original wooden case; wide grooved frame with egg-and-dart frieze, gilded. HxWxD: 68/95/14 cm. Restored condition with signs of age and wear. The clockwork has been tested and found to be in working order. The striking mechanism and musical mechanism are in need of overhaul and are currently non-functional. A photo album documenting the restoration work carried out on the clockwork is included.
