Canadian. A Grenfell hooked "Shadows" mat in vibrant colour with blue predominant within a narrow black border. This design was created by Stephen Hamilton in 1942 based on events he experienced while working at the Mission for several winters. The design was in production for many years, and this rug dates to the last quarter of the 20th century. Marked, retains "Grenfell Handicrafts Hand Made in St. Anthony NFLD" tag.
