Sunday, February 13, 1870. 1 page, in-12 format. Stamped envelope enclosed. A friendly letter in which Charles Gounod invites Jules Richomme to lunch to discuss a matter he considers important and urgent. “ My dear Jules, You absolutely must come to lunch at my house on Tuesday. I need to speak with you about something that I hope will be both useful and pleasant for you. Please don’t miss it: this matter requires an urgent response.” Gounod concludes his letter by extending his regards to the Richomme family.
