Gonçalo REIS, also known as « GONGAS », is a young, talented artist from Lisbon, Portugal. Born in 2001, he is the son of iconic graffiti artist Nomen and has been immersed in the world of street art his whole life. Raised among influential figures such as Nomen, YOUTHONE, Utopia, Ram, etc..., Gonçalo's work is deeply shaped by the vibrant graffiti culture in Portugal. His distinctive style stands out for textures, drips and effects that characterize each of his works, making them one-of-a-kind. Each work is hand-signed by the artist on the front and back, with the creation date, further reinforcing the personal touch that GONGAS brings to every piece. Gonçalo's true goal as an artist is to design unique, expressive pieces that elevate the spaces they occupy. When you buy one of his works, you’re not just buying a painting—you’re bringing home something truly special, because every piece is entirely unique. Interestingly, GONGAS began his artistic journey in late 2021, at only 20 years old. Contrary to what one might expect, his first works were not paintings but decorative wall clocks. Eager to stand out, Gonçalo first created epoxy resin clocks with abstract designs. He quickly moved on to spray-painted clocks before discovering his passion for canvas painting in February 2022. Driven by the desire to progress, Gonçalo began selling his art at markets and local fairs across Portugal. The extremely positive feedback from customers encouraged him to move into online sales, and in just three years he has created and sold more than 800 paintings to buyers in 32 countries, marking his impressive rise as an artist on the world art scene.
