Modellierte Darstellung eines jungen Mädchens in ländlicher Tracht mit Haube und Holzschuhen im Kontrapost stehend, eine schwere, bauchige Amphore tragend. Die fließende Bewegung des Gewandes und die feine Ausarbeitung des Inkarnats spiegeln die hohe handwerkliche Qualität der Wiener Manufaktur im Art Nouveau wider. Auf der naturnah gestalteten Plinthe mit der reliefierten Gießereiplakette „SCVLPTVRE“ versehen, darunter bezeichnet „Friedrich Goldscheider / Wien“. WVZ: 2406. Höhe: 96 cm. Altersgemäß guter Zustand, minimaler beriebener Sammlerzustand mit authentischer Patina. | GOLDSCHEIDER “Large Art Nouveau Figure of a Water Carrier” Vienna, circa 1902-1903. Ceramic, patinated in reddish-brown and bronze tones. Sculpted depiction of a young girl in rural attire with bonnet and wooden clogs, standing in contrapposto and carrying a heavy, bulbous amphora. The flowing movement of the garment and the fine rendering of the flesh tones reflect the high level of craftsmanship of the Viennese manufactory in the Art Nouveau style. Set on a naturalistically designed plinth, fitted with the relief-cast foundry plaque “SCVLPTVRE,” and beneath inscribed “Friedrich Goldscheider / Vienna.” WV: 2406. Height: 96 cm.
