Discovery Zone 23°33’ North 08°06’ West These nuggets come from the desert region of Tiris Zemmour in northern Mauritania, more than a hundred kilometers from an area named Guelb Ndour. Gold mining in this country was previously reserved for a large industrial company. But since 2016 individual mining is allowed using metal detectors. I offer them as I found them; I have only cleaned them with soapy water. The gold from this region is quite pure; in general its purity ranges from about 950 to 980‰, which corresponds to 22.80 to 23.50 carats. Although gold mining has become one of Mauritania’s main resources, nuggets are fairly rare because almost all of the gold is melted into bars and then sent to Dubai. All photos are taken in natural daylight. I photographed these nuggets as sincerely and precisely as possible using daylight. Please note that differences in screen settings and ambient lighting can lead to variations in color, saturation, and perceived tones. The nuggets you will receive are of course the ones shown in the photos. I ship quickly, securely, and discreetly in a tear-resistant C5 envelope (162 mm × 229 mm) via La Poste’s registered mail.
