Globe - Space Age Style - 1990-2000

It is a late-20th-century globe that fully embraces that late Space Age aesthetic, where technology becomes a visual language and the everyday object takes on an almost sculptural presence. Here, the metallic sphere—with a silver finish, engraved continents and latitude and longitude lines drawn with industrial precision—conveys that sense of the world turned into an artifact, a scientific piece, a symbol of exploration. The silver steel structure that supports it reinforces that futuristic reading: three vertical rods, clean and straight, lift the sphere with functional elegance, almost architectural. There are no superfluous ornaments; everything responds to a logic of clarity, stability, and modernity. The metal, cold and luminous, acts as a frame that enhances the globe’s presence without competing with it. At the apex stands the column with a double twist, a detail that introduces dynamism and mechanical sophistication. That dual movement—visual and structural—evokes the orientation systems and rotation mechanisms typical of 20th-century scientific instruments, but reinterpreted from space-age aesthetics: pure lines, clean geometries, a sense of technological precision. The ensemble operates as a decorative object and as a design piece: a globe that not only represents the world, but embodies the fascination with the future, with engineering, and with that optimistic vision of the space era. A piece that lights up any interior with its metallic presence, its formal balance, and its timeless character. Certified shipping and good packaging.
