GILBERT, André Louis. (Attributed to). TRANSITION-STYLE CHEST OF DRAWERS in rosewood, amaranth, and stained wood veneers. It is decorated with rare antique-style temple marquetry on the front and sides. It features a central and rear projection. It opens to reveal two drawers without crossbars, framed by flat-edged side panels. The base is curved and faceted. Gilded bronze ornamentation. The top is made of white, veined gray marble. 18th century. L. 124, D. 58, H. 88.
