Tutte le aste / Fotografia / Gijsbert Hanekroot - Bob Dylan, De Kuip, Rotterdam, 1978
Bob Dylan performing live at De Kuip, Rotterdam, 1978. C-print on Fujifilm Fine Art paper, signed and blind stamped. Size: 30 x 40 cm. Edition 9 of 200 Shipped carefully packed. Yet another rock 'n roll—war situation. 50,000 people not willing to move an inch for me. Halfway into the concert, I was finally close enough to the stage to be able to take some pictures using a tripod and a telephoto lens. The concert was in the afternoon, but fortunately there was a nice light show and Mr. Dylan had his make-up on. Gijsbert Hanekroot (Brussels, 1945) began his career in 1969 and worked for magazines and newspapers in the 1970s. His career as a photojournalist fit perfectly with the explosion of the rock scene. He masterfully documented the golden age of music history and photographed many of the greatest icons of the era. Hanekroot strove to capture images that revealed the person behind the musician. This resulted in portraits that are natural and intimate, relaxed and sincere. And in dazzling concert photographs. The photographer is represented by Blitz Gallery, Tokyo, Blue Lotus Gallery, Hong Kong, Mondo Galeria, Madrid, Proud Galleries, London and ONO-Arte, Bologna, among others.
