Gien Brouwer (1944-2023) - Herfst aan de Hollandse...

This atmospheric oil painting in beautiful autumn mood is by the Dutch artist Gien Brouwer (also known by his pseudonym Gien van de Velde). He lived from 1944 to 2023. Brouwer was known for his classical, quintessential Dutch landscapes, with a strong preference for painting polder and reed-bed areas with sedge-lined skies, atmospheric clouds at sunset and ducks or geese flying over. Also this work in lovely soft autumn colors. His work was internationally appreciated and you sometimes encounter it at art auctions under the name Gerald Brouwer. This canvas measuring 50x70 cm is signed with G vd. velde and is framed with a neat and certainly suitable classical frame that will fit in many interiors. The whole can be neatly packaged, but given the size it can only be shipped within Europe!
