GIBEON IRON METEORITE (Namibia

The Gibeon meteorite is one of the most valued and sought-after by collectors around the world. It is a metallic meteorite that fell in present-day Namibia in prehistoric times, and was used to craft weapons and utensils by the inhabitants of that era, although it was first discovered by Westerners in 1836. It is a fine octahedrite, with great exterior and interior beauty, and is commonly used for the creation of high-end jewelry. The specimen in this lot is a slice, with a good weight-to-surface area ratio, in which we can see Widmanstätten Lines as well as some inclusions with dark tones, in this classic meteorite that should not be missing from any collection. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection. Don’t miss this opportunity! All of our meteorites come with an IMCA (International Meteorite Collectors Association) certificate, guaranteeing the authenticity of all our meteorites for life. Shop with confidence. Best regards and our best wishes. CRATER METEORITES
