GIBEON IRON METEORITE (Namibia

The Gibeon meteorite is among the most valued and sought-after by collectors around the world. It is a metallic meteorite that fell in present-day Namibia in prehistoric times, and was used for the manufacture of weapons and tools by the inhabitants of that era, although it was first discovered by Westerners in 1836. It is a fine octahedrite, with great exterior and interior beauty, and it is usually used for the creation of high-end jewelry. The specimen in this lot is a slice, rectangular, with a good weight-to-surface-area ratio, and in which we can see the Widmanstätten lines as well as some inclusions of dark tones, in this classic meteorite that should not be missing from any collection. A fantastic specimen to add to your collection. Don’t miss this opportunity! All our meteorites come with an IMCA certificate (International Meteorite Collectors Association), which guarantees the authenticity of all our meteorites for life. Buy with confidence. Best regards and our best wishes. CRATER METEORITES
