gesneden meerschuim pijp - No reserve price - Meerschaum...

Figurative meerschaum pipe with bearded man and turban – including a matching case A small sculpture with an impressive face! This meerschaum pipe draws attention with its expressive portrayal of a bearded man wearing a turban. The carved eyes, flowing mustache, and richly curled beard give the pipe head a lively character. The turban is decorated with folds and tassel-like details. The cream-colored meerschaum contrasts beautifully with the curved, reddish-brown mouthpiece with amber tones. Together they form an elegant whole that also stands nicely on its own as a collector’s piece. Meerschaum, also known as sepiolite, is a light and porous mineral that is well suited to being worked into detailed figures. The material is traditionally used for decorative carved pipes and can develop warm color tones over time. The pipe is offered with a matching formed case with a black exterior and a golden-yellow, velvety lining. An attractive addition to a collection of pipes, smoking accessories, or figurative carvings.
