Gerritsen & Van Kempen - Butter dish - .835 silver - Cheese dome

A glass bell-shaped cheese dome with silver finial, measuring circa 17cm in height and weighing 625g, the clear glass etched with scrolling vines and leaves décor. Stamped to the handle with Dutch small sword assay mark for .835 silver and manufacturer´s mark of Zilverfabriek Voorschoten, van Kempen. Estimated age: Late 19th century. Condition: Overall good, no significant damages or repairs. Minor wear commensurate with age, miniscule bumps to the silver. See pictures for an overview.
