Germany, Prussia Willem I. Vereinsthaler 1870 (Berlín)

GERMANY. Berlin. Vereinstaler. 1870 A. William I (1861-1888) - Value: 1 Vereinstaler. - Reign: William I (1861-1888). - Year: 1870. - Inscriptions: Obverse: WILHELM KOENIG VON PREUSSEN · A. Reverse: EIN VEREINSTHALER XXX EIN PFUND FEIN · 1870. - Grade: Uncirculated. Silver coin of 1 Vereinstaler minted in Berlin during the reign of William I of Prussia, three years after the formation of the North German Confederation and one year before the proclamation of the German Empire. The obverse features the monarch’s bare bust facing right, with a realistic portrait and notable precision in the details of the hair, sideburns and facial features. Beneath the bust is the letter A, corresponding to the Berlin mint. The reverse shows the imposing crowned Prussian eagle, with wings outstretched, bearing scepter and orb, and with the dynastic shield on its breast, surrounded by the Order of the Black Eagle. The perimeter legend refers to the monetary standard of thirty thalers per pound of fine silver. The piece presents very defined reliefs, especially in the eagle’s plumage, the crown and the legends, with clean fields, a bright silvery tone and slight superficial signs visible. A representative piece of 19th‑century Prussian numismatics, corresponding to a decisive stage in the German unification process. Disclaimer: For orders shipped outside the European Union, I want to make absolutely clear that I do ship from Spain, which means that if the package is sent to any country outside the European Union, and/or inside the EU that has a special tax agreement (for example: Canary Islands), it might be stopped in your local customs and they might ask you to pay taxes. This is a customs legal procedure and it is completely out of our control. Thanks for your understanding.
