Height 38 cm Basis 11.5 x 11.5 cm Perfect condition. (Comes from Sfinckz Antwerp) Georges Van der Straeten (1856-1941) was a Belgian sculptor born in Ghent, who mainly worked in Paris. At the Paris World's Fair of 1900 he was awarded a silver medal. In 1903 he was named to the National Order of the Legion of Honour. Georges Van der Straeten is best known for depicting female beauty. His style was in the vein of Emmanuel Villanis.
