Georges Le Saché, an Art Deco sapphire and diamond stick pin, France, circa 1920, designed as an Ace of Spades, set with circular-cut diamonds and calibré-cut sapphires, mounted in gold and platinum, length 7.5cm, French assay mark for 18ct gold, indistinct French maker's mark LS with bowl for Georges Le Saché, numbered 24530 and 12656, gross weight approximately 2 grams, original fitted case stamped Van Cleef & Arpels Georges Le Saché was born in 1849, and produced highly technical jewels and objets d'art for renowned jewellery such as Tiffany & Co., and Boucheron, among others. Though unsigned, the present stick pin was possibly made by Le Saché for Van Cleef & Arpels.
