Correspondence and official documents gathered by a single recipient, Mr. Claude Armand, over nearly three decades (1971–1999), issued successively by four presidents of the Swiss Confederation (Rudolf Gnägi, Nello Celio, Hans Hürlimann, then Federal Councillor, and Georges-André Chevallaz) and then by the entire Federal Council of the year 1999 (Ruth Dreifuss, Adolf Ogi, Kaspar Villiger, Moritz Leuenberger, Pascal Couchepin, Ruth Metzler-Arnold, Joseph Deiss) and Chancellor François Couchepin. The lot includes: - Georges-André Chevallaz: printed thank-you card (Lausanne, Dec. 1974) following his election to the Federal Council, handwritten message and autograph in blue ink; accompanied by an official signed photo - Hans Hürlimann: signed letter, personal letterhead "Bundesrat", Bern, February 20, 1974, thanks following his election to the Federal Council, autograph signature - Nello Celio (president of the Confederation in 1972): official photo-card with autograph, attached stamped envelope - Rudolf Gnägi: pair of signed photo-cards, each dated to his year as president, handwritten note "Président de la Confédération" - Official photo of the Federal Council 1999 (7 members), with its original stamped envelope. A coherent collection documenting several decades of Swiss federal political life, through exchanges between the same correspondent and the highest authorities of the country. - Dimensions: 19 x 12 cm - Condition: Good overall for each piece.
