geometric Landscape - marilina marchica

geometric Landscape by marilina marchica Painting 39.4 x 39.4 :: Title: Landscape Year: 2024 Technique: mixed media on Cotton Canvas 100x105 cm Description: This original work by Marilina Marchica explores the relationship between man nature and time through an abstract and minimalist vision of the landscape. With a masterful use of mixed techniques combining oil and pastel on canvas the artist creates a composition that reduces the landscape to its essential elements stripping it of figurative details to focus on trace sign and memory. The simplicity of the shapes and colors together with the use of subtle textures invites the viewer to reflect on the concepts of space and time and their influence on our environment and our perception. Marilina Marchica's works are true ""containers"" of memories which day after day welcome events and presences leaving traces that alter the boundaries and appearance of the landscape. This piece with its refined and conceptual aesthetic is an example of her ongoing research on architecture and landscape as expressions of a dialogue between the inside and the outside the visible and the invisible the temporary and the eternal. The work was created in 2024 and is a unique piece that embodies the poetics of the artist from Agrigento whose works have been exhibited in numerous national and international exhibitions.
