Sculptural interpretation of the famous Carlton bookcase, an icon of postmodern design designed by Ettore Sottsass for the Memphis Group. The work reinterprets its archetypal silhouette in the form of a unique model, subjected to a controlled combustion process and subsequently customized with painting and material interventions. The charred, fire-scarred surface enhances the architectural character of the composition, transforming a symbol of design into an autonomous sculptural presence.
