French school (XVIII) - Ritratto di Mme Henry Pierre Goüin

Elegant antique oil painting on canvas depicting Mme Henry Pierre Goüin, seated portrait on a refined red canapé, in a French-styled interior. The figure is depicted in female attire typical of the second half of the 18th century, characterized by a light-toned gown and a broad draped shawl over the shoulders. The red canapé, the architectural backdrop, and the attention given to the details of the clothing contribute to a refined composition rich in historical charm. The painting bears a monogram D.B. and the date 1769, elements that characterize its collecting interest. The work is attributable to French painting of the second half of the 18th century, within the aesthetic of the Louis XVI period, characterized by the elegance of aristocratic interiors and the refined depiction of the society of the era.
