Fratelli D'Alessandri (attribuito) - Roma - Costume - Fotografia antica

Roma - Roman costume. Splendid and refined original photographic image, printed on albumen paper, sepia-toned, mounted on antique cardboard, produced around 1880, attributed to the D'Alessandri Brothers, Roman photographers, great experts and pioneers of photographic art in Italy. The photograph, of rare beauty, depicts a marvelous scene of a traditional two-wheeled wine cart, a typical Roman costume, loaded with wine casks. The horse is richly caparisoned and adorned with traditional fittings, including a plume crest on its head. On the cart sits a wagoner in the traditional Roman costume, accompanied by a small dog curled up on the barrels. The photograph is in good condition, with minimal signs of use and slight traces of time, consistent with objects that have traversed nearly 150 years of history. The photos will be carefully packed and shipped by courier.
