Franz Lenhart - Cortina Dolomiti – Manifesto turistico...

An enchanting tourist poster dedicated to Cortina d’Ampezzo and winter sports in the Dolomites. Note: This is a later edition probably from the 1970s. The composition, conceived by the renowned illustrator and poster designer Franz Lenhart, depicts a skier during a spectacular jump, suspended above the snowy landscape of Cortina. The minimalist style, strong color contrasts, and dynamic perspective give the image an extraordinary advertising impact. At the bottom, the main winter attractions of the locality are listed in English: skiing, skating, ice hockey, ski jumping ramps, the Pocol funicular, and the bobsleigh track. The indications “Bozzetto F. Lenhart” and “Edizione S.E.D. Cortina” also appear. An iconic work of Italian travel graphics, capable of conveying the charm of Cortina d’Ampezzo, the Dolomites, and snow holidays. Particularly interesting for collectors of travel posters, alpine skiing, winter sports, mountains, Italian tourism, and twentieth-century advertising graphics. The conditions, folds, and any signs of aging are clearly documented in the photographs, which form an integral part of the description.
