Frank Herbert (thème) - Board game - Dune - Paper

Beautiful lot dedicated to one of the greatest classics of strategy gaming: Dune, inspired by the famous Frank Herbert novel. This lot brings together two emblematic editions, allowing you to appreciate the evolution of this game that has become a cult favorite among strategy enthusiasts and collectors. The original Avalon Hill edition (1979) is a historical reference in board games. It is offered with its game components, rules, battle wheels, its cards, pawns and numerous accessories. The box shows normal signs of use and age, while the contents are well preserved. The newer French edition (Descartes/Canal+) is in remarkable condition. The pawn boards are entirely unpunched, evidencing very limited, or even nonexistent, use. The components are very clean and the game elements are particularly well preserved. Renowned for its strategic depth, its innovative mechanisms, and its strong immersion in the Frank Herbert universe, Dune is considered a major title in the history of board games. Bringing these two editions together in a single lot represents a wonderful opportunity, both for a collector and for a strategy game enthusiast. The photographs are an integral part of the description and help to appreciate the overall condition as well as the contents of the lot.
