Francesca Morlacchi - 'Rojo'

Francesca Morlacchi Master of Art, Equine Artist and Emerging Contemporary Artist. Francesca Morlacchi was born in the province of Bergamo in 1976, and from her very first steps she has been enchanted by horses, living in contact with them those deep emotions that fill the soul and heart with joy. Sometimes words are not enough to describe these wonderful animals in all their natural, powerful, and complex beauty. After a predominantly artistic school education, attending the Istituto d'Arte Andrea Fantoni and the Brera Academy, painting section, Francesca Morlacchi continues to draw, paint, and portray mainly horses. She obtains excellent critical reviews and feedback that continually confirm her work, receives awards and honorable mentions, and builds a solid exhibition résumé in several national Galleries and some international expositions. She is listed among Contemporary Artists in Mondadori's official Modern and Contemporary Art catalogs and in the Italian Art Encyclopedia. Selected by director Alberto Nacci for the project '100 faces of Bergamo Artists': catalog and video interviews. Membre patron of the Paard Verzameld Equine Art Service Agency. She has exhibited also during show jumping competitions, both national and international. She collaborated with the Horse Angels association for a fundraiser, donating a work for a charity auction. In 2024 she was commissioned to paint the portrait of the winner of the stallions derby held at Capannelle. The work is exhibited in the halls of SIRE in San Siro. In 2025 and 2026 she exhibited in Travagliato horses and painted a life-size horse across the four days, the work later donated to the organizers. Curator Federico Caloi, current artistic coefficient 1.2. 'Rojo' is a painting that speaks of balance between gesture and control, matter and light, strength and delicacy. The painting language is reduced to the essential; the horse is built with delicate glazes and controlled strokes, dialoguing with the physicality of the tactile surface, generating a tension between weight and lightness. Its movement is gathered and intimate, giving the sensation of a force becoming aware of itself. In the composition the red band is a line of force, a threshold that breaks the visual silence of the white background. The red becomes symbolic power that interrupts the quiet and becomes an emotional ground where the horse performs its gesture. The work is sold with its frame, varnished and hand-signed. Accompanied by an authenticity certificate with artistic credential. Edition Unique
