Frame - Wood - Gold Frieze Ducat XIX

Refined and elegant decorative frieze / furnishing end piece made of wood finely hand-carved and water-gilded in guazzo with genuine gold leaf. Dating from the early 19th century (Neoclassical era / Empire Style). The piece features a rich sculptural composition driven by elegant side volutes adorned with bead motifs, applied floral rosettes and stylized leaves. The canopy-like central balustrade structure culminates in an elegant upper connection. The bole-gilded gold leaf gilding presents the typical and fascinating patina of the period, with light natural wear that reveals the underlying preparation, imparting an authentic antique charm.
