Frame - Wood

An Italian frame from the early 20th century with warm, seasoned gilding, enlivened by multiple profiles and narrow shadow bands. The rhythm of the mouldings gives depth to the opening, while the leaf finish preserves a pleasant variety of tones. The wooden construction with preparation and, where present, plaster ornaments is documented by the photographs of the front and the details. Empty frame offered, the frame can be destined for a new pairing with a work compatible with its opening. Period: Early 20th century. Origin: Italy. Materials: wood and plaster, gilded finish. External dimensions: about 48 × 38 cm, height × width. Internal opening: about 40 × 30 cm, height × width. Sold empty, without painting, glass or mirror. Overall good condition, with patina, small abrasions and signs of finish wear visible in the details. The back preserves marks of previous mounting and surface wear. Dedicated protective packaging, with particular attention to edges and corners.
