Fr. 258. 1899 $2 Silver Certificate. PMG Choice Extremely Fine 45 EPQ. Among illustrious company along with its $1 and $5 counterpart; this note is a visual treat in terms of layout thanks to the portrait of George Washington at center flanked by a pair of allegorical figures representing industry and agriculture. A vivid denim-blue overprint can likewise be observed and accounts for quite the aesthetic and technical spectacle. No wonder this design has long been popular with collectors and dealers. Estimate: $800 - $1,200.
