Fr. 122*. 1901 $10 Legal Tender Star Note. PMG Choice Fine 15. Ranked among the most iconic of compositions by the likes of Bowers and Sundman in their book 100 Greatest American Currency Notes at the #6 position. This is not simply another example of this classic design that features the Speelman - White signature combination current during the 1920s. Against the several thousand or so unremarkable pieces recorded for this signature combination by the likes of Track & Price and the PMG Population Report only a small handful are Replacements like the example offered here which has seen time in commercial channels before its unlikely survival. Estimate: $2,000 - $3,000. Click here for certification details from PMG.
