Scientifically accurate reconstruction (via 3D printing) of a full-scale Tyrannosaurus rex skull. After printing, a substantial texturing and finishing job was carried out to render it realistic. For the coloration I drew inspiration from a specimen called Black Beauty, the only fossil specimen ever found to be black in color, thanks to particular fossilization conditions. This specimen was not yet fully adult; it was an adolescent of about 18 years. The skull's dimensions are 120 by 100 by 80 cm. This stunning replica is accompanied by a solid wood stand. The jaw is supported on three foldable steel supports. The mandible is divided into two pieces. The two pieces fit into designated slots on the stand. This makes the skull easy to transport and highly educational. You can observe the parts of the skull from every angle and, if you wish, you can remove them easily from the stand.
