Fork (12) - .934 silver

etherlands – Fa. D. van der Meulen & Zoon (Joure) – 12-piece Art Deco dessert fork set – first-grade silver (.934) – 172 g – approx. 1932 A complete and pristine 12-piece set of solid silver dessert forks in a striking Art Deco design, manufactured by the renowned Frisian silversmith Fa. D. van der Meulen & Zoon of Joure. The forks are distinguished by a high-quality two-tone finish: the cleanly stylized floral motif is finely engraved against a finely matte (satin-finished) background, creating an attractive depth contrast with the highly polished tines. Where serving and small silver by Van der Meulen during the interwar period were almost universally minted in 2nd quality (.833), this luxury set is made in the historical Dutch first-grade standard (.934). Comes in a matching presentation case.
