Solitude: On the Mind and the Heart, engraved title, 2 engraved plates, the odd spot, front free endpaper loose, Estelle Doheny's copy with her small gilt leather book-label to pastedown, cracked at hinges, contemporary morocco, rubbed, joints weak, g.e., double fore-edge painting beneath the gilt, one side being of Flamborough Head, the other of Ullswater from Pooley Bridge, 12mo, T. Griffiths, 1825. *** From the Col. John B. Gribbel sale/auction [1948]. Purchased by Philip C. Duschnes (1897-1970), who then sold the volume to Estelle Doheny, recorded June 18th, 1948. Later sold at the Doheny-Christie's Sale, 1989. Jeff Weber Rare Books catalogue notes slipped in.
