Tutte le aste / Altro / Footstool - Wood - Textile Original
Louis XVI style footstool made of carved wood finished in a warm tone, produced in the second half of the 20th century and inspired by French neoclassical models of the 18th century. Its elegant, balanced design reflects the principles of symmetry and restrained ornamentation characteristic of this style, combining functionality and decorative refinement. The structure features a rectangular, slightly domed seat, generously padded and upholstered in its original red fabric, decorated with a delicate geometric diamond motif that adds texture and distinction. The piped edge finishes the upholstery and enhances the transition between the textile surface and the wooden frame. The frame consists of a molded waist adorned at the corners with small floral carvings inspired by classical motifs, a detail that emphasizes the Louis XVI character of the piece. The four turned and fluted legs, with stylized proportions, descend with great elegance to discreet circular feet, providing visual lightness and a harmonious presence. Thanks to its versatile dimensions, it can be used both as a footrest in front of a sofa or armchair and as a small auxiliary stool. The preservation of its original upholstery adds interest and authenticity to a piece that blends the ornamental charm of French tradition with the artisanal quality typical of mid-20th-century manufactories. Insured shipping and careful packaging.
