Footstool - Wood - Textile Original

Louis XVI-style footstool made of carved wood finished in blue, produced in the first half of the 20th century and inspired by French eighteenth-century neoclassical models. Its elegant and balanced design reflects the principles of symmetry and ornamental sobriety characteristic of this style, combining functionality and decorative refinement. The structure features a rectangular slightly convex seat, generously padded and upholstered with its original blue velvety fabric. The perimetral piping finishes the upholstery and enhances the transition between the textile surface and the wooden frame. The framework consists of a molded waist adorned at the corners with curves inspired by classical forms, a detail that emphasizes the Louis XVI character of the piece. The four turned and fluted legs, with stylized proportions, descend with great elegance to end in discreet circular feet, imparting visual lightness and a harmonious presence. Thanks to its versatile dimensions, it can be used both as a footrest in front of an armchair or easy chair and as a small auxiliary stool. The preservation of its original upholstery adds interest and authenticity to a piece that combines the decorative charm of French tradition with the artisanal quality typical of mid-20th-century manufactories. Tracked shipping and careful packaging. #madeinfrance
