Fonderia Venturi arte/ Kossuth 2006 - Alexander Kossuth - Sculpture

Alexander Kossuth – “Christ” – Bronze sculpture on Persian wax – Example 52/90 – FMR–ART’È – Signed and certified Suggestive original high-relief sculpture in bronze by Master Alexander Kossuth, titled “Christ,” offered with original frame and FMR–ART’È documentation. The specimen is number 52/90, as reported in the attached certificates. The work offers an intense interpretation of the sacred subject: the body of Christ, elongated and modeled with great expressive force, opens into outstretched arms, while a carved radiance accompanies the upper part. The dark patina of the bronze, animated by shading and reflections, stands out against the silver background and the golden frame, creating a visually striking presence. Technique and workmanship As stated in the original documentation, the sculpture was produced at the Venturi Arte Foundry using lost-wax casting in refractory ceramic, with hand-finished chasing and flame patination with acids in nuanced tones. The edition comprises 90 numbered pieces from 1/90 to 90/90, plus 10 pieces numbered I/X to X/X. The artwork sheet specifies that each piece bears the number and the signature of Master Kossuth, along with the seals of the Venturi Arte Foundry and of FMR–ART’È. In the detail photographs, the signature “Kossuth” on the sculpture is visible. Support and frame The relief is mounted on a lunette-shaped wooden backing with manual application of silver leaf, completed by an original wooden frame covered in gold leaf, as stated in the technical sheet. Dimensions reported in the documents: Bronze sculpture: 36 × 26.5 × 13 cm. Lunette frame: 71 × 58 cm. Edition context The attached parchment attests that the work was created on the occasion of the establishment of the Peace Heroes Award, within the FMR–ART’È initiative “Create Peace.” Accompanying documentation The work is accompanied by photographed documents: - Certificate of Authenticity and Provenance, with photographic reproduction, technical description and edition number 52/90. - Certificate of “Guaranteed Work,” document no. 113460, issued for the work “Christ” by Alexander Kossuth, edition 52/90. - Subscription parchment related to edition no. 52, referencing the Peace Heroes Award and the “Create Peace” initiative. - FMR–ART’È descriptive sheet, with details on materials, casting, finishes, support and edition. - Letter from the FMR–ART’È Certification Office, dated Bologna, February 2006, signed by Maddalena Stignani, concerning the transmission of the documents. The certificate of “Guaranteed Work” lists a historic price of €8,900.00. This amount is a figure from the documentation of the time and does not constitute an appraisal of current value. The February 2006 date refers to the accompanying letter. A work that combines the sculptural force of bronze with the luminosity of silver and gold leaf finishes, enhanced by the artist’s signature, by the limited edition, and by the documentation identifying the specimen. The photographs are an integral part of the description and show the work, surface details, the signature and the accompanying documents. Tracked and insured shipment, appropriately packaged.
