Fluorite-Calcite Freeforms – Fascinating Natural Art in a...

These extraordinary fluorite-calcite freeforms impress with their expressive play of color and their vivid, crystalline structure. Warm honey-yellow and amber tones merge with purple inclusions as well as light, cream-colored and, in places, gray areas. The harmonious interplay of these different colors gives the stones a special depth and, at times, reminds of artistic mineral landscapes that have developed over millions of years. Particularly fascinating is the varied patterning that shapes each freeform in its own way. Dark purple mineral areas run through the golden-yellow material in irregular lines, bands, and striking inclusions. In between, light, crystalline patches appear, whose different structures reflect light in multiple ways. Depending on the viewing angle, individual color contrasts come more to the fore, continually revealing new details. The smoothly worked surfaces beautifully showcase the natural color distribution and the characteristic structures. At the same time, the gently rounded contours form an appealing contrast to the angular, mosaic-like crystal areas inside. Some areas appear warm and almost transparent, while others stand out due to their strong violet coloring and their more compact structure. It is precisely these differences that give these freeforms their special charm. As decorative minerals, these pieces set stylish accents in any living space. On a sideboard, a desk, or in an illuminated mineral collection cabinet, the warm yellows and the contrasting purple drawings come into their own particularly well. Even within a mineral collection, they offer an interesting complement, as their color scheme and structure form an unusual combination. Each freeform has its own composition of colors, inclusions, and crystalline areas.
