Flos - Achille Castiglioni

Flos' Taccia Small is one of the most celebrated icons of Italian design, conceived by Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni in 1962. A timeless project that blends technical research, functionality, and sculptural elegance. Its unmistakable form arises from the idea of reinterpreting an inverted pendant lamp, turning the reflector into the project’s protagonist. The grooved cylindrical base supports the blown transparent glass diffuser, topped by a wide aluminum reflector that defines the entire composition. The Small version reprises the charm of the original design in a more compact size, preserving its expressive strength intact. The refined matte white finish gives the lamp a luminous, contemporary look, highlighting the essential geometries and the purity of the forms. Taccia produces indirect, reflected light: the source illuminates the reflector, which distributes light into the environment in a soft, comfortable way. The transparent glass diffuser is adjustable, allowing you to modify the direction of the light and enhance different points of the space. The built-in 16 W LED source, with a color temperature of 2700 K, offers warm and welcoming light. The dimmer integrated into the cord lets you adjust the light intensity from 10% to 100%, adapting the atmosphere to different needs. Perfect on a console, a coffee table, a desk, or a living room cabinet, Taccia Small is more than a table lamp: it is an emblematic object of 20th‑century design, still relevant today for its ability to merge innovation and beauty.
