Floor lamp "Toio" Flos - Vintage Edition (1970s/1980s) - Achille & Pier Giacomo Castiglioni Splendid and excellent vintage example of the floor lamp "Toio", a milestone of international industrial design designed in 1962 by brothers Achille and Pier Giacomo Castiglioni for Flos. The lamp preserves all iconic details and period components that certify its absolute authenticity: Maximum overall height: 195 cm (maximum reach of the beacon) Minimum overall height: 158 cm (pole fully lowered) Vintage autotransformer: Authentic 400 VA electromechanical block in the characteristic hammered blue-gray finish of the era, complete with a three-hole front safety outlet. Original Flos brand: Original mirrored metal decal from the era with a white logo on a purple/blue background and the inscription "Made in Italy" on the side, perfectly preserved on the curvature of the base. Stem and Cable Guides: Telescoping shaft with hexagonal cross-section in nickel-plated brass, equipped with the characteristic flexible ring cable guides (inspired by the guides used on fishing rods). Diffuser and Light: Upper diffuser comprised of the famous American-imported incandescent automotive headlight (sealed beam), still original, intact and fully functioning, capable of emitting the characteristic warm, atmospheric light of the era.
