As large and rich as the world of jewellery is - for men, there are only a few objects that can be harmonized with a classic wardrobe. A ring is appropriate, as are cufflinks, of course. But after that, it quickly becomes difficult to maintain a balance between individuality and good taste. The pin is one of the few exceptions here. In earlier times, it was worn on the necktie or tie, but today it is also worn on the lapel of the jacket. Numerous beautiful examples from all conceivable eras and styles have been preserved. Here is a small collection of five antique pins dating from the last third of the 19th century and showing a connection to Italy. We see a large pin with a portrait of a Victorian gentleman cut into a shell and two pins with Italian coral buttons. A pin made of 15-carat gold shows a circular ornament in the so-called archaeological style with a small diamond rose in the center. The last pin depicts a target made of sky-blue turquoise with an arrow behind it. The pins are all in very good condition. They reached us together and we have therefore decided to offer them together: As a nice way to be equipped for many occasions with five in one go.
