Figurine - Vintage Usaburo Sōsaku Kokeshi – Model...

Stunning, authentic, creative (Sōsaku) Japanese Kokeshi doll from the world-famous and award-winning Usaburo Kokeshi Studio in Gunma Prefecture. This particular model is titled "Sōshun" (Early Spring). The doll is characterized by its elegant, deep-red lacquered kimono, in which finely hand-carved tree branches and striking white camellias (tsubaki) have been cut and painted. The minimalist face and the iconic, jet-black hairstyle form a beautiful contrast with the natural wood grain. At the bottom, the doll features the official, original red hanko (signature/stamp) from the Usaburo workshop, which guarantees authenticity. • Height: 19 cm • Condition: In excellent vintage condition. The lacquer is bright and the wood shows no deep scratches or moisture damage. See the detail photos for an accurate impression. For shipments within the European Union there are no clearance costs provided. The item will be carefully packaged and shipped. Please note that the packaging was done by a private individual and not by a professional service, so perfect packaging quality cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding
