Figurine - Porcelain half-doll with lace dress (2) - Porcelain, Textile, Lace

Antique German Porcelain Dolls – Set of 2 – Full-Length Lady with Original Lace Dress & Articulated Half Doll – Circa 1920–1930 An interesting and unusual collection of two very different vintage porcelain dolls, believed to date from the early 20th century. This lot brings together an elegant full-length porcelain lady with beautifully detailed original lace clothing and a German porcelain half doll featuring movable arms and a distinctive maker’s mark. Both pieces offer individual character and would make lovely additions to a collection of antique half dolls, pincushion dolls or decorative porcelain figures. Doll 1 – Elegant Full-Length Porcelain Lady with Original Lace Dress A particularly attractive porcelain lady featuring delicate facial details, beautifully styled grey-white curls, a pale green hairband and finely modelled hands. She wears an elaborate, antique-style cream lace dress with intricate floral detailing and a full skirt. Her porcelain legs extend beneath the dress, finished with dainty shoes. The figure has a graceful seated pose, with one hand raised and the other resting elegantly beside her face. Details: * Total height: 20 cm * Porcelain doll section: 10 × 9 × 5 cm * Full-length porcelain figure with legs * Original lace clothing * Beautifully detailed face and hairstyle * No chips or visible damage to the porcelain * No cushion included The original lace clothing adds considerable decorative appeal, with its aged cream colouring and intricate workmanship. Doll 2 – German Porcelain Half Doll with Movable Arms An unusual German porcelain half doll featuring articulated arms, allowing the arms to be repositioned. She has a delicately painted face, blonde hair and an elegant early 20th-century appearance. Articulated half dolls are particularly interesting to collectors because of their additional construction details and movable components. Details: * Height: 9 cm * Width: 6 cm * Depth: 3 cm * Marked Germany * Distinctive heart-shaped maker’s logo * Serial/model number: 380740 * Movable porcelain arms * Two holes in the base, originally intended for attachment to fabric or a pincushion Condition: A slight crack is present across the upper chest area, as shown in the photographs. There are also signs of age and surface wear. Condition and Collectability Two contrasting porcelain dolls, each with its own appeal. The first stands out for its elegant full-length design, delicate porcelain features and original lace clothing, while the second offers an unusual articulated construction and identifiable German markings. Both are believed to be from the early 20th century, approximately 1920–1930, although the exact dates and manufacturers have not been independently verified. Please study all photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description and show the condition, craftsmanship and individual details of both dolls. A charming and distinctive pair for collectors of antique German porcelain, half dolls and early 20th-century decorative dolls.
